NewsSmall Brewery Sunday

November 24, 2021

Last year on Small Brewery Sunday we shared our logo that marries our beginnings with our new home. New homes take time, so we want to give you a few exciting updates.

First, we got our state license which means we can legally sell beer. Another step crossed off the licensing list. It let us sell a few cans to some supportive friends.

We’ve also been patiently waiting for our equipment and we’re stoked to share that it’s coming within the next month. It made its way from China, to a west coast port, then Portland, and now it’s on its way to Baltimore at the tail end of its long, strange trip.

While we’ve been waiting, the pilot system has been getting it done. We’ve been perfecting pilot batches and creating new recipes for a solid taproom lineup. We’re especially proud of the Brown Ale we’ll have, which we brewed a pilot batch of on Veterans Day. Brown Ale is a Pickett classic and we’ve had time to tweak it to a perfect pour on these colder days.

We’re so thankful to all of you for your patience and excitement for Pickett Brewing Company. We will see you in the garage soon. Until then, cheers on Small Brewery Sunday! Thank you for drinking local!
